Ayana Rasteh

Co-founder, CEO

Ayana is a cancer-survivor and a senior in highschool. During her freshman year while undergoing treatment, she experienced the challenges of managing a chemotherapy port without a specialized port-shirt. The constant need for dressing checks and re-accessing made the experience uncomfortable and inconvenient. Additionally, she found that the available port-shirts were expensive and typically limited to dull colors. This inspired her to create a nonprofit to provide kids and teens battling cancer with vibrant port-shirts and other goodies in order to bring some comfort during their treatment. In her free time she enjoys singing, playing piano, and playing tennis.

Kashish Mittal

Co-founder, COO

Kashish, a freshman at UCLA, is a two-time cancer-survivor undergoing chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. During this time, having a port shirt would have made it more comfortable for her. Her firsthand experience of being in the hospital made her realize that comfort and ease with small things such as having a softer and warmer blanket made a drastic difference. She is creating this non-profit to combat this issue of uncomfort in the hospital for childhood cancer patients. Providing patients who are going through a similar experience with fun and bright port- shirts and blankets, she hopes to support them through their journey. To relax, she enjoys watching comedy movies, playing badminton, and going to cafes with her friends.

Kajal Mittal

CFO

Kajal has firsthand experience of witnessing the effects of cancer, particularly through her twin sister who was a patient. Throughout her sister's treatment, she frequently visited and observed the discomfort experienced by patients during their hospital stays. These experiences have deeply influenced her perspective on healthcare and compassion. Her focus in the organization is particularly in marketing. Currently a senior in high school, Kajal also finds joy in baking, reading, spending time with family, and watching TV.
